First blended in the 1930's, Ballantine's 17 year old is a prestigious whisky that remained unchanged for over 75 years. The recipe is closely guarded and carefully handed down from each Master Blender to his successor.
Nose: deep balanced, elegant with hints of oak, smoke and vanilla.
Taste: full and complex, vibrant honey sweetness and creamy vanilla flavours with hints of oak and peat smoke.
Colour: clear, golden amber.
Character & body: creamy, harmonious & oak-sweetness. Full, creamy, luscious.
Finish: long, lightly smoky, vanilla and finally a hint of salt.

The Ballantine's flavour is dependent on 50 single malts, four single grains and in particular the fingerprint malts from Miltonduff and Glenburgie. The brand has won many accolades and awards for its products.
