The Whiskyagency North British 1962 (93 points) n24 sharp, punchy, a tad coastal by displaying a briny freshness..but, best of all, neither sweet nor dry. The thin molasses and honey balances the drier vanillas to an atom; t23.5 crisp delivery. The sugars are firm, crunchy almost, but softened by the corn oil. The vanilla intensifies wonderfully and some lovely hints of Lubec mazipan adds a further flourish of class; f22.5 no hints of bitterness. Just a light spice dusting stodging up the oiliness slightly b23 full of traits and characteristics as rare as this type of whisky. But, above all, absolutely refuses to admit its age.
