Tasting Notes:

Nose: Hola baby! We are celebrating here. Not just for a 115th anniversary, but this glass is throwing a party. Nutmeg, brimstone, damp forest grounds and after some oxygen, cane candy! Some pear as well, and who brought in the yuzu?

Taste: Flavor bomb, oh la la. Exactly what one would expect from an Uitvlugt! The X marks the spot with this gentle dram. Pear juice, pine juice and nutmeg. Smoked bacon.

Finish: A stunningly long finish, as one would expect from a 27 years old rum. Bringing new flavours of liquorice and yuzu fruit and cotton candy. But not in a sweet way.

Balance and complexity

A well-balanced, sophisticated and gentle dram. Easy and approachable, yet showing complex flavours of damp forest grounds. Just lovely.
