The Duchess starts the year strong with a new range of exclusive whiskies. They introduce the GlenAllachie, first to be released in their brand new Game & Wildlife Series!
An introduction to the Game and Wildlife Series
As always, at The Duchess we greatly value the origin of our rums and whiskies, particularly the area where they are produced. This is displayed on the beautiful labels, by none other than Hans Dillesse. For this reason, we have once again chosen for local flora and fauna from the area surrounding the distillery; this time with wildlife as the showpiece on our labels.
About The Duchess
The true aficionado knows, choosing a dram by The Duchess is a guarantee of pouring quality into the glass. Our products stand for the best quality, being faithful to flavour and purity, without the addition of any perfumes, colourants or flavourings. Thanks to the beautiful labels, time and again our releases are a sight to behold and a tribute to their origins.
About the GlenAllachie
The GlenAllachie Distillery is under spirited guidance of Master Distillery Billy Walker, the legendary manager of GlenDronach and BenRiach. The GlenAllachie is a delicious 24 year old whisky, bottled at a cask strength of 55.1% and was personally selected by none other than Mark Watt, of the Watt Whisky Company. The bird on the label is a black grouse, indigenous to the Speyside region.
Enjoy the GlenAllachie!

Tasting Notes by Mark Watt:
Nose: Light citrusy and quite creamy. Peaches, whiff of mango chutney and growing citrus fruits.
Taste: Syrupy, chewy and some more exotic fruits. Tinned peaches in Syrup, clementines and preserved lemons.
Finish: Long and creamy and citrusy, can taste the age but not woody.
Comment: I really like this, fresh but you can taste the age, really good mouth feel with some old school fruitiness.
