Banff distillery closed for the final time on 31 March 1983. The distillery had a turbulent time with fire having had a major incidents in 1877. 1941 and 1959, and even after the distillery was closed, the buildingd were destroyed by fire in 1991 and the distillery has now been fully demolished.

Tasting note:

Nose: Creamy vanilla, kiwi fruits and a faint trace of smoke followed by gooseberries and pear drops.

Palate: Oily, soft earthiness with apple notes and a touch of toffee.

Finish: Slightly oakiness, pears, green bananas and a little eucalyptus.
