Nose: Pine needles, resin, oak, toasted cereal lightly peated followed by hints of Riverbank flowers. Primrose, Marigold, Mint Honeysuckle all lingering beautifully with gentle drifts of bog Myrtle. It’s a Spring Morning in the Highlands! Hints of pepper and lemon rise gently in a slipstream of spicy residue with the bourbon bringing flavours of citrus and spice and given time gentle notes of fruity vanilla in harmony wit h light smoky overtures.
It’s young, fresh and delightful. The mouthfeel is smooth and warm and the sweetness of the barley with its light peat aromas is classic Highland.
A well distilled spirit wi th the warmth of a peat fire gently drying the malted barley in the Distillery kilns is very evident in the finish.
