Meanwhile, already a classic among the Langatun Cask Finishes is the Port Cask Finish. The pre-storage in Chardonnay casks gives the whisky its delicate sweetness with beautiful vanilla and wood notes. Subsequently, this single malt whisky is still transferred for a post-maturation period, the so-called finish, for two years in a port cask. As a result, the whisky takes on the typical fruity flavors and the dried fruits of port emerge very nicely.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Reddish brown.

Aroma: Very intense with aromas of pine needles, tobacco, candied pineapple, woody, mango, prunes, raisins, orange peel, fresh lime, licorice, cherries and some vanilla.

Taste: very dense and intense flavors, licorice, berry compote, subtle honey, grapes, rock candy, blackberries, marzipan and slightly leathery notes.

Finish: medium long and soft, fine wood notes, port wine, discreet malty sweetness with dark chocolate.
